Long-Awaited Snow
Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow,
And we were children once again.

Thanks be to rash-faced kids who say COME OUTSIDE so that you get to be the one who makes first tracks on the sledding hill with boot-print flowers~ and later plop down under a solar-drenched sky for a sweet, snow-angel Savasana while pick-ups bounce by on mud-puddled roads.
